Save the Children is the world’s largest independent child rights development organisation, making a difference to children’s lives in more than 100 countries. Save the Children Australia and Inspired Adventures have been hosting trips to raise funds. In a similar project 12 people came to visit Nepal last October, which involved trekking through the careening routes with stunning mountains as backdrop. The participants of this trip raised $50,000 to help build a classroom in the small village of Bihun. Climb For A Cause (CFAC), a nonprofit dental charity, has announced its 13th annual fundraising event will take place on Sept. 5, 2010, in the Three Sisters Region near Bend, Oregon to help Guatemalan and Nepalese people. The events will see a number of dental professionals including general clinicians, surgeons, office staff, consultants and dental manufacturers assemble to pledge their support for volunteer dentistry and to take part in rock climbing, kayaking and caving. Executive Director of CFAC, Daniel Bobrow said that the CFAC was trying to raise $100,000 through this year’s events which will support the CFAC dental education and treatment projects in Guatemala and Nepal. Air Dynasty, one of oldest operators of light helicopter and the only operator of Ecureuil Helicopters in private aviation sector in Nepal, has acquired a brand new AS 350B2 from Eurocopter South East Asia, Singapore. With this, Air Dynasty's fleet has now increased to four helicopters which earlier had one AS350B and two AS350BA helicopters. Air Dynasty has been in operation for the past 17 years and believes that the organization is not only for pleasure trips but to extend services like emergency, rescue and medical evacuation flights to those who require it. Air Dynasty is a joint venture company with Malcolm Smith, a British national and the chairman of the company. According to the company, the newly acquired chopper costs US$ 2.1 million. It can fly up to 20,000 ft and its fuel consumption is 160 litre/km. The new chopper will provide pleasure flights besides extending emergency, rescue and medical evacuation services.
