Helicopter is the best way to explore the country. With a total land area of 147,181 sq. km., there is the much more to be seen in Nepal than one actually gets to see during their stay in this land of mystery and mountains. The Langtang valley is located just south of the Tibetan border - a narrow valley sandwiched between the main Himalayan range and lesser snow-bound mountains to the south. It has a lot to offer: lovely Tamang and Sherpa villages, Buddhist gompas and pristine nature.
This flight departs from Tribhuvan International Airport and lands at Ghore Tabla, where you begin trekking towards Langtang village, mostly inhabited by the Sherpas. On the second day, you continue trekking to Kyangjing Gompa yak pastures and quaint villages can be encountered en route. Kyangjing Gompa and a government operated cheese factory make it an insightful sightseeing tour. Eventually on the third day you fly back to Kathmandu from Kyangjing Gompa.
